You should be able to quickly distinguish what the baby needs by the crying. Get up and get it what it needs. The baby will go back to sleep quicker than you think. Usually, a changed diaper and fresh bottle do the trick.

new crying baby = no sleep... sorry.

Meet your baby's needs.. this is why you had a child.. Your needs come last. Especially sleep.

It gets easier as they get older, stretch the times between feeds and then when YOU get some sleep.

If you need sleep for your job and your wife is a stay at home Mom like me try to sleep in another room after discussing it with your partner and making sure that she's OK with waking up every couple of hours to take care of the baby without your help, it's hard in the first five years of the child's life so my advice is to wait a while before you have another one.

You need to get used to the baby's sleeping habbits. My 3 week old baby sleeps well between 22h00 and 3pm at night, and between 14h00 and 17h00 during the day. You should just addapt yourself to the baby's habbits. Its not always easy but thats part of being a parent right?

help the baby stop crying by giving it what it needs, then go back to sleep until baby needs you again. It's part of being a parent, get used to it.

1) Look at your name.
2) Create white noise with a fan or a nature sounds CD.
3) Jump in the bathroom with the hot shower running. The steam and noise will calm the baby.

I have slept with my newborn since the first night (in the hospital) He has slept with us ever since. I breastfeed so it is enormously convienent. He cries, i pop a boobie in his mouth, he suckles until he falls asleep. I am extrordinarily lucky. My baby sleeps mostly through the night. He crashes about 10-11pm in either my or my husbands arms. He sleeps solidly for 4+ hours when he wimpers I pull him towards me and cradle him and nurse,. We fall back asleep together, my husband also enjoy the closeness we all share.

Feeding , Chainging diapers , tummy time is all what you need to make the baby stop crying , oh yeah , try calming him by putting him on his tummy on your chest while you are half lying on your back on a comfy chair or on your bed , this will really make you both relaxed .

Get off your butt, feed it, change it, burp it, play with the baby, and he/she will sleep. You can't sleep through it!!!
