You're going to LOVE this!! There is a prescription pill available now that is amazing everyone with its success rate! It's called Chantrix and I believe it ends up costing a total of $350 or so . You take it for three months . The thing is , it doesn't help by boosting your willpower or by sidetracking you with other chemicals, it actualling makes you just not want to smoke. My mother has smoked for over 40+ years and tried many times and many methods to quit and inevitably she would start again. And she struggled and fought cravings and irritability the whole time she was trying to . She got this medication and says after about three weeks she realised she just wasn't hardley smoking at all(and she didn't set a target "quit day" of 8 days into the medicine like you're supposed to! She said that she knew her heart wasn't that into it this time so she just kinda ignored it...!!!) Well thats been several months ago and she has completely quit! She says it will sometimes flash in her head to smoke at times she normaly would have (out of habit!) and then she realizes she doesnt even want to. This has been truley almost effortless. I am finishing off my remaining cartons I already have and then I am doing it too.The cost of this is so much less than the cost of cigarettes for even a year. So really no one who wants to quit can use the price of the prescription as something they can't afford! If you can afford to smoke , you can afford to quit!! I've also heard it kills cravings for drug addicts too but I don't know of any examples personally, although it would make sense! GOOD LUCK!!!

Quitting cigarettes is not easy! It's as if you're loosing a part of you. It will take a lot of trials before you can finally stop smoking; thus, determination is a must!

Remember that smoking brings no good to the user. You are even putting your health as well as the health of the people that surrounds you to danger. But quitting smoking leads you to a healthier and active life. Furthermore, you can have extra money to spend for the important things other than cigarettes.

First step you should do is to make a plan. Set a date when to totally stop your habit. Remove or stay away from things that will temp you to smoke such as ashtrays. Next, get support from your family and the people your working with. Tell them you quit smoking and don't allow them to smoke in your house or inside the office. When you are distracted by the urge to smoke, try to do something different. Don't follow your daily routine because smoking is part it. Keep your self busy or get someone to talk to. Drink also plenty of liquids. Lastly, refer to a health care professional to provide you necessary medication.

There is a new drug called chantix that has been show to help people quit smoking. Also, studies have shown that the more people you tell that you are quitting, the more likely you are to actually quit. It may also help to somehow ritualize the act of quitting. I know it sounds silly, but rituals are very powerful for human beings. Here is an example: On the next full moon or equinox or something similar, take all of your smoking paraphernalia and items that you associate strongly with smoking and burn them. Sounds silly, but it may help. One last thing: figure out in advance what you are going to do when you get a craving, because you will inevitably get cravings, and if you don't have a plan in place, there is a good chance you will succumb to them. Good luck!

Chantix is the way to go. I am on day 10 of being smoke free and my husband is on day 3. I don't even want a cigarette. Sure I think about smoking, but the CRAVING isn't there. I can even drink a beer and not want one. This stuff is amazing and we have had NO side effects. The one bad thing is that insurance doesn't cover it. Our first script cost us $187. That was for 4 weeks worth of the medication for two people. I know that sounds like a lot of money, but think how much you spend on tobacco products.

We are thrilled with the results of this medication and are so happy to be SMOKE FREE!!!! I can actually see myself being a non smoker for the rest of my life. It is wonderful to be able to take a deep breath and not cough. It is fantastic to not hack and cough in the morning.

I just can't say enough about this amazing product.

Good Luck!

Hi! Your self strength is the main thing that can move ur lips away from smoking.

family members can also play their role and help u in giving up this bad habit.

Another thing...you try to give up smoking slowly...try to minimize into 1 in a day

Lobelia. It's an herb. The first day replace one cig with one capsule of lobelia. The second day replace two cigs with lobelia at different parts of the day.

The third day, replace 3 cigs at different parts of the day, and so on. you might find that by the fourth or fifth day you can quit entirely.

Keep taking the lobelia, maybe two capsules a day...for one or two bottles. It'll help to remove the addictive nicotine from your body, to prevent a relapse into smoking and to help reduce any risk of trouble later on.
