Sylvia M.:
First off: I thank your family for their service.
Second: I did think about my question: I wanted the opinions of people in this country of their military protectors. I get to hear the media's spin, often, with the news over the war and military actions.
Third: My father and his father were in the Navy.
My Grandfather was a WWII POW and Army vet.
My uncle served in the Army.
My cousin is in Afghanistan.
I thought about my question. I think about the people that serve this country.
And I value freedom for all. Which is why I value opinions from people with different perspectives.
And I think war is wrong. But that is MY opinion, and I am thankful for the freedom to voice and write it.

I respect them for their service to our country. Regardless of how I feel about what they are being asked to do.

I have the ut-most respect for them. They get deployed and miss important things like the birth of their children, death of a family member, a child graduating high school, first words, first steps...ect.
They sacrifice a lot for civilians, and I think they need more respect. A lot of the members may not agree with what they are fighting for but they still get up and do the best job they can. In the military you can't just quit, and they deserve praise for that. They are committed.
It bothers me when people cheer at the death of solders, because they were trying to protect them, and these @$$ holes laugh in their face.
I deal with the military on a daily basis, and know it like the back of my hand.
I also think that their wives deserve respect as much as they do, because they are the ones raising the children alone, and often times in foreign countries without the support of anyone.
The military treats the wives like crap, and I've dealt with it first hand. The wives sacrifice so much too, and no one thinks about that when they are protesting the wars.
The kids are giving up their father who they may never see again.

YES, I do I have a son in-law who is a Marine and another one who is in the 10th Mountain div. Army. And a young Son 10 years old who is a Young marine based out of Camp Pendleton Marine Corp Base...who will be ready to in-list when age appropriate and not before he go's to college and go's in the Corp as an officer. And if killing is what they have to do so be it as long as they keep the S&%T and the fight over where ever and not here...then that gives you just one more nights rest. So yeah I do agree with Killing only when deemed necessary to do so and you see no other way out.
But if ever I had to pick up my weapons and use them I woulden't hesitate to shoot...and I woulden't shoot to incapacitate you...I will shoot to Kill you. So please forgive me if I sound rude but just think about what you just asked and then think about what you would do if you were in their shoes and walked a mile or two, not knowing if YOU WERE in some ones line of sight that fast your life could end with just a squees of a triger. Now that you know this...ask your self could I do that to save my life or the life of some one else? The answer might suprise you...

I agree it somewhat is depressing what share youthful persons somewhat have faith they have been screwed over with the aid of their recruiter. while in actuality they have not taken the time to study and start to understand what they're stepping into. i could not allow you to know techniques many even have faith they might desire to sign in the dotted line and be placed in a particular forces group to start killing the undesirable adult males...i'm not kidding! Many have faith they don't % something yet a settlement to get into Buds education and then be a seal group member. i'm somewhat commencing up to think of that to days adolescents have been playing video games somewhat to long? maximum of those varieties under no circumstances see themselves as doing incorrect....it must be somebody else's fault! I definately appreciate everything the military members do for us. I'm sorry that they have to be over there but they understood when they signed up that they were joining to fight for their country.
Anyone who doesn't support them is just plain wrong!!!

As long as they are doing what they think is right, I respect them. I would not respect a pacafist who'd join the military, because it would be his belief that what he is doing is not right.
