Two years ago, I could search for days without finding anyone who actually claimed to be a Brewers fan. Now they're everywhere. Are there really that many Brewers fans out there, or did the city of Milwaukee just recently get internet access? because I have to believe that anyone who claims to be an actual Brewers fan was probably rooting for Boston two years ago.

One Word: BANDWAGON...

always happens with a team with they start winning. You'll find fans that you didn't even realize they were there. Man, when the White Sox were dominating in their World Series year... I found 10 White Sox fans that year and now, that they are losing... they are starting to say that they were Red Sox fans the whole time. No joke.

Right.. a city with good sports fans in a state with great sports fans can't really be fans of the only baseball team in Wisconsin... If you are from Wisconsin you either root for the Brewers (majority) or the cubs if you live in Southern/SE wisconsin and don't like the brewers.. or the Twins if you live by the Mississippi and don't like the brewers.

Yes the Brewers are on pace for their first winning season since 92 which means more people are gonna show their support. People like winning and Going 15 years without a winning season doesn't make you stand out like the Yankees or the Braves or whoever.. but there were a lot of brewers fans throughout those 15 years.. Maybe you just got internet access.

Bandwagon jumping happens to all sports teams. Don't be so ignorant and try to trash people who you don't even know.

If you really want to question fans.. question the fans of the teams that have won so much when the Brewers were losing. It's a tougher test on a fan to support a team that loses than to support a team that wins a lot.

Casual fans come out of the woodwork's when their home team starts winning. You are seeing the "Bandwagon" fans jumping on a good thing. They will disappear just as quickly as they came if the Brewers start losing. Every major league city has these types of "so called" fans.

They're kinda a feel good story. They have been terrible for so long that you can't help but root for them a little. I'm a Yankee fan but I wouldn't mind seeing them do well. That and any team dedicated to Beer can't be that difficult to root for. If they ever changed they're logo to a glass of Beer I'd be first in line to buy the hat. At least they're new logo is better than the baseball glove with a ball in the middle. What was that?

So what if they are mostly bandwagoners? Cut them a little slack -- it took decades to escape the Seligula regime, and li'l Milwaukee hasn't had a baseball team worth cheering for in over a quarter-century. Let them enjoy it even if they only bought their first Brewers cap last week; they might not get another frontrunner for years.

That's just the way some fans are. They jump on the bandwagon when their teams starts doing well, and jump off when things are going bad.

That's not say it's just Brewer fans doing it, it's like that with a lot of teams.

The same typical nonesense. Jumping the bandwagon when it's convinient to them. I respect true fans who stick by their team no matter what & that's sadly lacking in today's sportsworld. I have a neighbor who was a Yankees fans for years & all of a sudden he thinks i'm too stupid to remember & now claims to be a Met fan even as far as wearing Met gear all the time. I have no time for phonies like that.

Ha ha -- true Braves fans (like me) had the same question in 1991 and even into 92.
P.S. I honestly can't tell -- are you a "real" Brewers fan or are you just trashing bandwagoners?

Maybe they are just excited about the team they have for once. You have not seen them before because there was nothing to be excited about. It is always like that. When the Royals start winning, if ever, you will see them come out to. They are always here, it just takes a good team to bring them out.
