Its normal to get itchy skin and burning eyes when you swim, because of the chlorine. Make sure that you shower after swimming in pools.

Some people are just prone to issues with chlorine, high levels or not. It doesn't help matters having water at that high a temperature either. Your skin pores are open and you're actually sweating, letting that likely high chlorine level penetrate a little deeper into your skin.
The only other factor would be a problem with the pH as that can cause a reaction.

something wrong with the water. Don't swim there for a few days, then go and see if your skin still itches. Eyes burning might be because of the heavy chlorine in the water.

Sounds like too much chlorine. Check the chemical levels, better still, get a professional to check it out. Good luck.

Chlorine hurts the eyes....dries skin and can make you itch....especially if your pores are open....or you just shaved....use lotion on your skin....before and after you swim....wear goggles if you want to keep your eyes from hurting....Even if the chlorine levels are right, this may occur....

are you putting too many chlorine pills in the pool?
the symptoms you mentioned are usually associated with over-chlorinated pools.
or..
your skin is very sensetive. are you used to swimming in pools?
as for your eyes...are you openning them in the water?
they will hurt...with any kind of pool.

Maybe you need a new chlorine level tester because it sounds like that is too high.
