I finished reading the book two days after it was released and now I'm reading it again and there's something I dont get. Since english is not my native language, I think I might be missing something. When Ginny is about to kiss Harry, she whispers "there's the silver lining I've been looking for". What does she mean? Is she talking about "an opportunity" to kiss him?

The expression comes from "finding the silver lining in every cloud," meaning that even though something's unfortunate or bad, there's always an upside, or a was to look at it optimistically.
In Ginny's case, although it's very sad that her love interest, harry potter, is leaving, there is an upside- very little chance that he will meet anyone and forget about her.

So when Harry says that " I think dating opportunities are going to be pretty thin on the ground, to be honest", this gives her that ray of hope or silver lining, that Harry will not find someone else while he is away on his mission and that if they do survive this war, they could have a future together.

So I guess she means that even in the middle of all the stuff going on (the clouds) the kiss is the silver lining (the best time or the good part). Hope this makes sense!
