depends on the state you live in and actually completing a full divorce. I received 900.00 alimony and 500.00 in child support when I got my divorce from my husband of 10 years. Don't forget that you also draw his social security when the time comes so keep that in the back of your mind.

I only receive the alimony for three years. It's all I asked for so that I could finish college. Also I live in AZ.

If he does leave call your local court house and file for emergency support from him. In AZ they have money coming directly from the husbands check within weeks of filing the emergency support. You will have to go before the judge for this but its better than scraping along until you go before the judge for the divorce

Depends on your state laws, some states do allow for alimony or spousal support, same with the daughter, how old is she? You will get child support IF she stays with you.

Alimony is only allowed in certain states. As far as child support, not until you are divorced.

If he just moves out then no, you cannot get alimony. Alimony should be in a divorce decree.

Can you focus on taking care of yourself? If he leaves and dies, what do you do?

You may get alimony, if he made more money, but, set an example for your daughter and take care of you both. Go back to school if you have to.

You will be happier and glad you did.
