Ok, I am trying to reword my question from before to make it more clear.
I have had bad things happen over and over again. Some are things that one could attempt to argue that I had some hand in, but most are things that I had no hand in whatsoever. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time, etc.
I want to add that this has affected me in that I have lower self esteem and am afraid of bad things happening, so I avoid many circumstances that I really shouldn't.
So, my question is: can luck be changed? If so, how?

I am going to give an example so that I do not get answers about me changing the way I think.
One of the many bad things was that someone ran through a red light, thereby t-boning my car. I am since disabled. It was one of about 4 car accidents I have been in where I have either not been driving, or been hit by someone else-not my fault-other person ticketed.
Things that are out of my hands. Out of my control. Things that I want to stop happening.
I do not want to "think about them differently", or "learn something from them"
I want them to stop happening.
Thank you for allowing the clarification.

You need to unwind at first. It seems you are taking things too hard. Success and failure are parts of life. Moreover, a good patch of time will be followed by a bad one. Things are never static. You must banish negative thoughts. Gradually replace pessimism by optimism by meditation and by doing things systematically piece by piece. Can you write a memoir? That will help unwind.

1st: stop pitying yourself.
2nd u r pulling yourself down
3rd change your lifestyle
being disabled is not bad luck - hard to fathom but its true. u r already in this state - whats next is what u can ask yourself and do it.
its tough - trying to blame yourself and someone else for the circumstance u r in.
look at the advantages rather than disadv of being disabled.
seize the oppurtunity that awaits u, believe me. i've worked / know with one handicap person who is so joyful and happy and i'm embarassed as i am more often down. if tt person can find happiness why not me, an able person.
put it in your head - this is not rotten - its a new window of opportunity that awaits your action
so pl changing your luck is in your hands

You need to start looking things as lessons. You need to learn from your experiences but not cut yourself short EVER. Always leave your options open to new things and never beat your self up over things. These experiences will only make you smarter and stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. and........go ahead and experience life just pay attention more.

Good Luck

Well, iam sorry to hear the things that has happened to you. Everybody do go through some kind of 'bad things'. Some of them go thru worse than others. I can't tell u how luck can be changed but personally, I trust in God. What i do is ,wake up in the morning & thank God for that beautiful day. Praise God, thank God & pray God guide & protect & bless you in everything you do that day. & when something happen & u dont know what to do, ask God to help you. 'God help me , I leave everything in your hands'. Well, I dont know if you believe in God, if you do, Iam sure God will help you. Read the bible everyday, if u are a christian. It is difficult with all the pain u r goin thru to say things like ' thank u for this day' but try it..be positive..iam very sure God will help you always. This is my personal opinion/experience. Its entirely up to you what u want to do...God Bless you Always.
