I remember the first time I thought about riding a bike. I was standing at the top of a steep gravel road wondering if I should go down when my feet slipped and off I went. I ended up going over the handle bars and grazing all the skin on my tummy and chest - yes you could say it was scary!

I ran into a parked car!
I was 7 years old and had never ridden a bike, jumped rope or done normal active things that kids do because I was sick with rheumatic fever. I was finally released by the doctor to do what ever I could and riding a bike was my dream! Scared the cr*p outta me, but I kept trying til I got it.

I remember the first time I got to ride my bike.
It didn't feel scary to me since we had a huge lawn and that was where I first learned to ride my bike. I learned if I fell it didn't hurt as much landing in the grass as it would on the gravel drive way. lol

Yes, my brother took me up a hill and I started rolling down it and the chain for the breaks fell off. I hit a tree, and the tree won the fight, even though I managed to debark a foot of it. I had two reconstructive surgeries on my right foot where they had to pin my two biggest toes together. I was 9, and yes, it was pretty scary.

Yes! I remember my grandmother took me to a local store,
I was 3 years old and she got me a orange 3 wheel tricycle! We lived by the train tracks and I remember thinking it was hard to ride over the train tracks and she lifted the bike up with me in it. I miss her!

I remember the first time. I was with my father in the park. I was maybe 10. He held on to the seat and handlebars, while I was trying to ride and keep my balance. I never had training wheels. After about five minutes, I said, "Hey, maybe later, I can try it without you holding on." I glanced over my shoulder for a second, and he was in the distance, smiling and I was riding on my own. It was really cool!!!!! Without knowing it, (or maybe he did know) my father taught me a great lesson. And I really wasn't scared until it was time to try and stop.

I was five and terrified. My dad took me to the park and put me on the bike and started pushing me (my parents didn't believe in training wheels). He promised me he wouldn't let go but I looked behind me and he was getting further and further away. I screamed and ran into a fence.
