Has anyone noticed people around the time when The Jetsons came out thought the "future" looked different than the futuristic shows that came later. Like The Jetson's view of the future was more like retro future, but Star Trek future is more metal and shiny and not ugly blue floating TVs with sticking out antennas. Has anyone noticed?

I prefer the 30s version of the future, where everything looked art deco

It depends on who was trying to create the future. It was more of, "I'm going to make the future look like this." I suppose it was a difference of opinion. Plus, William Shatner is a little weird. Oh, but Star Trek did have the blue tooth thing down, how the communicated without phones, but with a tiny electronic piece in their ear, kinda cool if you ask me.
