First I would say sorry ! Sorry for the times I fail him , sorry for the times I fail those around me....

Then I would praise him for the mighty God he is , for all of his creation , for all that he has provided for ALL of his children. You see ,. whether we believe in him or not , we are still created in his image & are his children ....it is our choice as to whether we believe & trust in him!

Why are you blaming him for the wickedness in the world ? If you look closely you will find the evil of man is responsible for most of these things including child poverty , the spread of disease etc ...

How can you say that on the one hand you won't trust & follow him or that he doesn't exist or that he is evil & then blame him for all the sadness & misery here on earth ? If we CHOOSE to go our own way then we must accept the consequences !

If all of humanity was walking with God as we were created to do then these things would disappear over night.......

I wouldn't be scared, but I would most likely be awestruck.
I think that I would have to tell him how amazed I am at all of his creation.

The enormity of the universe...how many stars there are, how many galaxies...how there are clusters of galaxies which in turn are parts of bigger galaxy clusters. Everything in perfect order...and that same order is also found in even the tiniest particles known to humans!

I would also tell Him how much I appreciate all the beauty he gave...things that are not necessary for living, but add so much to our enjoyment.

Well, I hope this did not sound preachy...I certainly didn't mean for it to, but when I think about those things it really does make me thankful and if I did have a face-to-face conversation with Him, I would HAVE to tell him that....

EDIT: I did not read any of the other answers before I posted, but after reading some of them, it really makes me feel very bad that so many people blame God for bad things...

God, show yourself in any way you want so I can finally believe. I'll stop saying there's no evidence for your existence, because although there isn't a scrap now, your showing yourself would put an end to that. Break the mug on my desk, cause stars to dance around my head, or just take a seat in one of the chairs behind me. Whatever suits you. I'll be ready and waiting. (Don't expect me to worship you, though, until you've got an explanation for all that crap you did in the old testament, including all those needy demands to be worshipped. If you can get out of that, we'll see about the whole praise/gratitude thing.)"

I would ask what is my purpose for being created and did I fulfill it? Also please let me, my friends, family and others be inhabitants of paradise.

I think after seeing him, I would be filled with awe and faith that I wouldn't need to ask for it after that.

I would thank him for taking care of my family and myself. I would feel joy that we were all together again. I would be able to see my grandson for the first time.
