When I was about 3 or 4 years old, I hit my head REALY hard and had to go to the ER...I kept throwing up and had suffered from a mild concution. After the head injury, I would throw fits over the smallest things, and then be in time-out, and after I'd run to my daddy and say " daddy I couldn't help it, I tried really hard to stop, but my body wouldn't stop, I just couldnt do it"

Now that I am older, I can handle things differently, but sometimes do throw fits (in my room alone) and can't stop.

Is there types of brain damage? are theese actions caused by braindamage??

I think it is entirely possible that the behavioral changes occurred due to the head injury. The phenomena is well documented.

If you are talking about physical fits, like epilepsy, yes, those kinds of fits can be caused by brain damage. I am surprised if you have not seen a doctor for them.

If you mean simply fits of rage or tantrum, that could be merely a psychological problem of not being able to control yourself, or not wanting to control yourself, and blaming the early head injury.

Either way, you need to get some help from a doctor or a therapist.

Phineas Gage was a famous case study for psychiatrists. He had an industrial accident which destroyed part of his brain. Most assumed he would die, but he didn't. Instead, he became irrationally impulsive and a huge jerk.

Gage destroyed part of his pre-frontal cortex--the part of your brain that is just above your eyes. This structure helps you control the impulses which pop into everyone's mind. If this part is damaged, then you may say and do things that would normally have never made it past the 'thinking stage.'

Brain damage may be a factor in the behavior you describe, but that isn't to say that you're confined to a lifetime of misery. A trained therapist can teach you skills to compensate for the weaknesses you've described.

Good Luck, be brave.
