but when they dipped that little test strip it showed that I didnt have a UTI, they also checked me down there to see if they could see if I had a cut or maybe something else but nothing, they did send my specimen to a lab. Should I be worried, has this happened to anyone else, could it be a bladder infection.
I am 31 weeks pregnant.

I am 38 weeks pregnant and have had 3 UTIs and 1 Yeast Infection during this pregnancy. It is not all that uncommon. You don't need to worry, when the results come in, if it is a UTI, your doctor will call you in a prescription.

i had a pee test about that time of my pregnancy... they found traces of somthing and thought i had a urine infection. inthe end the results came out negative and everything was fine. the doc said that sometimes that happens with the strips and nothing to worry about. but every one is different! i'm now almost 36 weeks :) good luck!

You may have ripped down there. That might be the case. But only your doc will know for sure. I'm just making a hypothesis. I would suggest taking a warm bath. That might help you out a little to ease the discomfort you're experiencing.

best wishes

Hi, it could be a yeast infection or a urinary tract infection. I would not worry at all.

Just wait and see what the doc says. We all have dramas like these now and again in pregnancy and if you are like me we worry about it too much.

I always worry for things like these but its good just to relax and wait for the doc.

UTI is determined by the lab. The test strip was probably to determine if you have proteinuria.
