There are 4 possible outcomes that produce the “event” of rolling a 5 and
there are 36 total possible outcomes, so the probability of rolling a 5 is 4/36 = 1/9.

With two dice, there are 36 possible rolls.
A 1/9 probability occurs for a sum which can be formed in exactly 4 ways, because 4 out of 36 equals 1/9. This is case case when the roll is 5 or the roll is 9.

5: (1, 4), (2, 3), (3, 2), (4, 1)
9: (3, 6), (4, 5), (5, 4), (6, 3)
