First month taking Clomid my period was 3 weeks late when it finally arrived it lasted for 2 weeks. Went to doc and they said nothing was wrong and to take the next dose. My next period was extremely heavy. Worse then ever. Now after my 3rd cycle of Clomid I have not got my period. I am on day 53. Took two tests both were negative. I am not sure what to do next. I don't like my doctor and am getting refered to a new one but what should I do in the mean time?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have PCOS, and took clomid for 4cycles along with metformin.Every clomid cycle varied with each other. The first time I took I had my period one week late,2nd cycle I got it early and 3rd n 4th were kinda extended..My temps were high,I was hyper emotional for everything n also I have put on some weight. But clomid did make me ovulate thou.yeah evn I had heavy periods.I dont want to dissapoint u but the fact is that clomid mimics all the symptoms of pregnancy.Every cycle I thot I was pregnant but all tests were negative and also having late periods I had all the hopes. Now m not having clomid for this cycle n wil try frm next. Ok r u goin to dr to have ur u/s done while on clomid.the dr will tell u the time of ovulation seeing ur follicles. and u can assume ur periods 14-16 days after ovulation.Late periods only mean that ur whole harmone system is messed up,ur harmones r on the roller coaster.Just go to the dr n tell her ur prob n find out y u r late or take a blood test to know if ur pregnant.Give a break for the next cycle and start over again. And please dont stress out as stress can also delay ur period..all the best to u n baby dust on ur way...................

I am on my second dose right now. I started my period with no problem which was the 1st time I have ever done that in many years. My period was very very heavy. I always had like the old blood like look but this time it was red and heavy the whole time. (sorry tmi) I took clomid almost 5 years ago and it worked the second time around. I was on metformin then and also now. Maybe you need that too. It helps to regulate periods. I got pregnant the 1st time though because they performed the insemination. They haven't done that yet so I just pray it doesn't lead to that. Good luck and God Bless!
