If not, why the call it as such? Ginduras question remind me of this, which puzzles me since long time ago. If not, why the call it as such? I went to southern Thailand a couple of years ago, the Thais also call it nasi goreng USA.

No la. Obviously not udang, sotong and ayam. Nasi goreng USA in Malaysia will use daging/ayam masak merah and telur mata kerbau. I southern Thailand they use sausages and telur mata kerbau.

never order it when you're in the US
never order mee bandung or air bandung in Bandung
never order rojak singapore in Singapore
you won't get it
Maybe USA stands for Udang, Sotong, Ayam, so "nasi goreng udang, sotong, ayam" - it's 3 in 1, that's why the price a lil bit high compare to ordinary nasi goreng aka nasi goreng biasa
Frankly speaking I've never tried nasi goreng USA. Sedap kah?
-edit-
HampehKunyit, frankly speaking also, i've never seen a nasi goreng USA before, but have read the name on a restaurant menu

Americans think Pizza came from America, so go figure.
Of course nasi goreng USA is just another twisted version.

If you remember the word called fusion, I think the fried rice mentioned above may be Westernized. Well, the origin of fried rice comes from the Chinese and now many ethnics do have their own version of fried rice. It's recommended to go visit the U.S. and see if Americans do sell their own version of fried rice.
