Possible two reason;

1)Timing is out too much advance

2)Engine over heating

A few days ago when I changed gears then accelorated there was a noise, turns out the clutch was about to go. I had to fork out $830 bucks a week before my 18th birthday

well the oil thing could be correct but it also could be an axle. the ones that go to the front wheels. One of those could be bad, and they will click especially going around a corner

tappets , if the oil is low you will hear your tappets, but if the oil is ok check each tappet if they are lose it will damage the cam shaft in time.

sounds to me like no oil

if so ,you can forget the car and buy a new one

Check your oil level.

I have had similar problems.
