It depends on your body. Many girls lose their hymen through vigorous exercise. So it depends if, your hymen is still in tact how much it will hurt or not.
But I would suggest having a talk with your mom about this, she can better advise you. :)
Having your menstrual cycle doesn't determine how intercourse will feel.

There can be pain when the hymen breaks upon penatration. There can also be some blood.
The hymen is the thin membrane that sometimes covers the opening to the vagina if you're a virgin. I say "sometimes" because, even if you haven't had sex, the hymen can do a bit of a disappearing act due to an overzealous workout at the gym, horseback riding, tampons, and even passionate "heavy petting" with your boyfriend. (It's not an impenetrable barrier, anyway, as it has holes to allow menstrual blood to escape.)
When you're turned on, the uterus and cervix rise, lengthening the vaginal tube. When his penis penetrates, the walls of the vagina stretch to accommodate the difference.
For some, the first few times make you feel sore, as it's been an unused muscle or even hurt, if you aren't properly lubericated, like the guy is in a hurry, doesn't arouse you and your body isn't ready.
Relaxing, foreplay, being fully aroused or better yet, you having an orgasm FIRST or using a lubricant like KY-Jelly or Astro-Glide can help.

Hi sweetie--
It (first time) may or may not hurt some, depending on your own body. But if you are still pretty new at having periods, I'm thinking you're not all that old yet-- Maybe think about waiting awhile; talking to parents or an adult fried you trust. But you have all your life to have sex: please know that you are special, and you don't have to rush into anything too soon. Whenever you DO have sex, be safe, safe, safe!! Unplanned pregnancies complicate your life; and STDs including HIV change your life forever. Not in a good way. Take good care.

Having your period has nothing to do with it. It usually hurts girls the first time because it breaks the hymen. If yours is already broken it might hurt less.
If you don't mind me saying (which you probably do) you sound like you're too young to be worrying about whether it's going to hurt... too young to be contemplating having sex at all.

Yes! The first time it definitely hurts. But, if you choose to do so you can go to your GYN and have your hymen lanced to make it more comfortable your first time. Some virgin brides do this before the wedding. Hope this helps.

yes it hurts, but being ready and i don't mean just hormones, makes it worth while, if your worried about the pain, then perhaps it's your minds way of saying your not ready. and for all the really insensitive guys out there... if the bloke knows what he is doing he can make it wonderful. of course if he's just fumbling, it just hurts.

It just hurts for a brief second; don't worry though and if you have already had your period than it shouldn't hurt as much as your period does....
