I would talk with your female relatives (mom, sister or aunt) & find out what normal is for your family. I suspect they don't cycle every 4 weeks exactly either. Does your weight fluctuate a all?
Why not go have a chat with your doc.?

Well I know what you mean. I'm 20 & my period is still all wacko. One time I went 3 months without having a period & another time I was on my period for 3 WEEKS STRAIGHT & had to get a blood transfusion. I also had 2 periods in one month before... very odd I know. I've been told that some women become regular after they reach a certain age & some do not. It's all in your body's chemistry. Some women become regular after giving birth to their 1st child. I think that maybe you should go & get an examination to see if there is anything wrong with your ovaries or uterus (as should I). & if there is nothing wrong, you just might have to give your body time to regulate itself & learn to be patient with your inconsistant periods (I know it's easier said than done)

No, most likely it won't if it has always been off to some degree.
Every one is different, when it comes to their cycle. This may just be how your cycle is.
My cycle has always been off so that it has never been the same way every time. The only way that I could keep it on a regular schedule was to go on the pill, that was the only thing that worked for me since mine was so far off. I went on the pill because I would skip periods for months at a time, some times I wouldn't get one for 6 months. I know that sounds odd, but It's been like that for me ever since I first started.
When I had asked the gynecologist he stated that although mine is so off that that is what is normal for me.
I hope this helps you to know that your not the only one who's cycle is some what off.

you assume its supposed to be a 28 week period, mine was a 35 day period and yes, it skips a month at least once a year, count the days for six months. bet you are a 35 day lady. in which case its normal for you

getting on the pill (birth control) helps regulate periods. visit with your gynocologist and he can talk to you about dufferent types and explain to you what would be best to maintain a steady ocurring period.
