Spirited Away--it's this odd japanese movie about this girl who has to save her parents after they get turned into pigs by a spell. It sound really weird, but it's actually quite good. My two little cousins absolutely love it.

Also Labyrinth--It's an older movie with Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. It's about a girl whose storybook sort of comes to life when she says a line from it, and it causes the evil goblin king to come in and take her little brother. She is forced to travel through the king's labyrinth full of trials and puzzles before midnight in order to save her brother.

The Company of Wolves. It is a Little Red Riding Hood, basically the meaning behind the Little Red Riding Hood.
(It has been a good 20 years since I have seen that too)

Dead Time Stories- Short stories, The Three little Bears ,
Little Red Riding Hood (again)

The Night of the Hunter (go to You tube and watch, night of the Hunter River Boat Scene), It is beautiful, and very eerie and creepy.

I think even the Three little pigs (it has been over 20 years since I seen that too)

You Tube has clips of both of these movies, check them out especially The Company of Wolves

The Red Balloon - This is a silent short made in the 50's or 60's. It won an Academy Awrd and its soooo awesome. Its about this little poor boy in Italy. But its basically he doesnt have any friends and he gets this red balloon. He heads off to schooland the balloon goes out te window and follows him. he tries to shoo it away but its folloows him thru town to school. the lil boy goes to class and the balloon goes in through the window aking everyone in the class cheer.

The bell rings and the kid and the balloon start to go home but the other boys start to chase him cuz they want to balloon. So he runs from them through the streets and alleys till he gets to this wall and hes trapped. So he lets the balloon go so the kids wont get it. The balloon flies over the wall but on the other side is a field with a bunch of the other kids. they all grabs rocks and throw it at the balloon with one eventuallymaking a slow leak in it till finally it land on the ground and a kid steps on it. Then they leave and the boy finds his balloon popped and is real sad. But then all the balloons throughout the city fly out of whatever window or store they are in and fly to the boy surrounding him. He gets all happy and wraps his hands around all their strings and the balloons lift him up into the sky and he flys over the city.

THE END

I probably didnt explain it that good but you really should see it.

Depends what you like.

A pure Blues showcase? Check out
"Sessions for Robert J." The late, great,
much-missed and loved Billy Preston guests.
And you'll see Doyle Bramall II as never before.

Dry humor? Try "Eating Raoul," "The Couch Trip,"
"Repo Man," and "Sneakers".

UpperEastCoast rant? Go with Lewis Black's
"Black On Broadway". He tears into the truth!

Semi-Old, not-really-cult-but-sorta? "Looker,"
"Death Wish II," and "Strange Brew".

Good-time 'Buddy Movies'? "Midnight Run,"
"Planes, Trains, & Automobiles," "Jacob's
Ladder," and "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels".

Mena Suvari is So Hot in, "Caffeine," or you
may enjoy "Marathon Man" if you're into great
'70's espionage. Dustin Hoffman kicks @ in it.

"And Justice For All" is Al Pacino showing
how it's done too.

< Many of these WERE famous, but over time
might've touched on "momentarily forgotten".

<< Take the phone off and soak these flicks in!

The Changeling with George C Scott!
Spooky and Scary and Good! I seen it when I was 14, years ago. The gal beside me in the theater was a complete stranger and we both ended up screaming and clutching each other!
George rents this historical mansion to work on his music and get his life together after a tragic accident in his family. While in the house, he learns it's haunted and the spirit of a child uses him to solve his murder.
To this day, I get the creeps when I see a lone wheelchair in the halls....and I work in the hospital!!

Freaked (aka Hideous Mutant Freekz).
Alex Winter (of Bill and Ted fame) plays a vain actor who is turned into a mutated freak and makes friends with other mutated folk such as Mr. T who is the bearded lady and Bob Goldthwait who is Sock head...oh and Keanu Reeves as Ortiz the Dog Boy.
It's considered "a thinking mans stupid comedy" but I found it pretty good at times.

Stuck on You - Story of Siamese brothers Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear. Feel good movie featuring how they live happily as co-joined twins, later decide to separate themselves to pursue their dream, in the end unite back by typing a strap!

A movie called "Serial".
It's part hilarious, part goofball soap opera and all brilliant.
It starts Martin Mull and Tuesday Weld as this couple trying to fit in while living in trendy Marin County, California. It has one of the best movie lines I've ever heard: "Look at my car -- it's too big, it burns too much gas, it pollutes the air -- F*ck 'em, I love it!"

Waking Life - Waking Life follows the dreams of one man and his attempt to find and discern the absolute difference between waking life and the dreamworld. While trying to figure out a way to wake up, he runs into many people on his way; some of which offer one sentence asides on life, others delving deeply into existential questions and life's mysteries. We become the main character. It becomes our dream and our questions being asked and answered. Can we control our dreams? What are they telling us about life? About death? About ourselves and where we come from and where we are going?

Fate is the Hunter. It's about an airplane crash that shouldn't have taken place and how they go about figuring out why it did.
