We have this debate in politics and government subject and our professor told us not to include the church and morality in this issue because we're talking about laws.

It's correct.

I've seen people die of Alzheimers and ALS. Alzheimer's at least has the benefit of, at some point, letting the victim forget that they're forgetting. With ALS your fully functioning brain is slowly entombed in your body. No one deserves that.

I can do for my dog what I can't for my wife or parent?

Weather it's legal or not , it is done every day. when a person is no longer fed intravenously and they are medicated to keep them sedated and out of pain and allowed to starve to death. Maybe they didn't get a lethal dose and yet the morphin destroyed their lungs. Is it right, it's a desision that the person should be able to make , when the time comes.

Whenever you are not sure of your answer, put yourself in the place of a another. In this case, a dying old person in pain. Euthanasia would be a blessing to most people who are suffering. Consent would have to be given of course.

We are kinder to our old dogs than we are to humans.
