some people would rather be mean and hurt others before people have a chance to hurt them.

it's the competitive nature of the beast. Its the sense of entitlement some people have. it's something in the air in the water. it's the violence, it's the war. Its stress, it's money, it's over work and underpay.. its jealousy, it's greed, it's prejudice, it's the left, it's the right, its George Bush,,,, need i go on.? life's not easy at times and everyone deals with it in their own way. What do expect ...Utopia?

Because the either have low self esteem and feel better about themselves by being mean to others. Or they were damaged as children by mean adults and have developed a complex...

the world is filled with self absorbed people that only care about themselves and no one else. So they feel that they have to be mean to others to make them selves look better.

I think some people have a low self-image, and it makes them feel better to bring others down.

Cause, they are insecure or have no self-confidence, so they find something about somebody else that they(the other person) doesn't like, and pick at it cause they(the mean) dont like something about themselves...i hope this makes sense!! ♥♥

i dont think there is really an answer to that, but in my opinion, i dont think people really know they are being mean. i think they are doing whats best for them, without thinking how it will affect others. all of us were mean at times, we just dont know its happening untill someone says you are being mean.
