I noticed how you put "attractive" and "looks" together.
Well, I feel more attractive, but it has nothing to do with my looks. It has to do with how people are around me. I think that some people are comfortable around me, so they find me attractive. I also feel more confident, and people are generally attracted to that.
My looks are probably not improved over time, but I feel that looks are culture-based. The culture where looks are important was created by the two-dimensional world of the visual media, where looks are measured by only two elements--width and heighth.
The visual culture of attraction was created to sell stuff. We can't sell clothes by showing someone being smart. It's not two-dimensionally visual. The way we "think" about attraction was probably conditioned by commercials and culture. We are in love with something that doesn't even exist anymore. It comes in a can, from surgery, from photoshop or from a make-up kit.

I've always considered myself average at best, but I've constantly been told that I'm rather good looking by everyone. I don't see what they do, apparently, but I do attract a lot of nice looking women and always have, so maybe they are right.

I don't worry about it anymore. I don't scare small children and I don't have paparazzi following me everywhere so I think I'm in between the two extremes. I think I look pretty much the same, with maybe laugh wrinkles and grey hair now.
