If you mean in Iraq,I hope so.If you mean the war on Islamic terrorists,no.They'll still be wanting to kill us all.

Any of the Democrats will withdrawl. The Republicans... ummm.. maybe. The problem is that many Americans think of IRaq as one war when truly it is several. It started out as overthrowing Saddam and making sure he can't fund terrorism. That's complete. Next we have to set up a strong democracy so The Iraqi's can trust their democracy and not go to an insurgent group so they can feel safe. Not quite done but we are getting there. Once we get that done Iraq will be a much safer place. Insurgent groups will loose their funds and their personel. Our next job is to unite the Sunni's, Shi'ites, and Kurds to create one strong nation. Once that is done we will have three strong allies in the middle east to combat terrorism- Israel, possiblly Saudi Arabia if that arms deal goes through, and Iraq. Last we will be able to pressure countries like Lebanon, Syria, and Iran to cut off ties with terrorist and quite possibally get Iran to discontinue working with uranium and nuclear power. Iran will have to comply because our Navy will control the Persian Gulf, Tehran will now be an easy target for our bombers, and we have a stronger army. If more politicians thought of it as a front agianst terrorism and nuclear war than "The War in Iraq" the war would be supported by American people.

The war has wound up and down so many times, it all depends on how much face the country is willing to sacrifice. If the entire coalition (that's right, there's a lot more than just the United States there) pulls out right away, there will be a bloodbath as the various factions compete for dominance. Of course this will not happen all across the country, but in the primary built up areas....
The worst case scenario (for the US only) is that it will become another Somalia, where the US pulled out and did not accomplish their goals. The best case scenario is that the US remains until the Iraqi government is prepared and able to take control, and that happens quickly.

If certain liberals get the presidency, they will pull the troops out too soon, causing a major backlash that will affect the whole nation as well as the middle east. Better to get the politicians out of the process, let the generals finish what needs to be done, then let them all come home.

If we can get some of those Republican Senator out of office this election our troops will come home, maybe sooner if some of them would wake up and smell the coffee, before there is no coffee left to smell.
