The Long and Winding Road - By The Beatles. It's a sad song to begin with, but along with the fact that it was their last #1 single and they were to break up soon after recording it makes it even sadder. Also, Every Breath You take by the Police can bring out the tears. As well, In My Life by The Beatles. Great song for sideshows for a graduation or looking back on the past.
TEARS IN HEAVEN - Eric Clapton
He wrote it to his son who at age four fell out of an apartment building window and died. The song asks the son if he would remember "me", Eric Clapton, and know "my" name if he saw him in heaven.

Well there are a few. Paperthin Hymn by Anberlin. The video is what makes it really sad for me. Also Your Guardian Angel by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus because it's just so sweet and I'm a typical girl. And Save Yourself by Sense Field. It's about saving yourself for someone who loves you.

Holes in the Floor of Heaven... its a country song, I'm not sure who sings it, but I heard it after someone close to me died, so it's sad in a sweet way I guess.

the saddest song i ever heard is "Cancer" by My Chemical Romance it reminds me of my uncle so much so it hurts alot to listen to it :[ but no doubt its still a really great song
