If I were to ask "What color is the sky?" you would think/say:?

If someone were to ask me that, I'd think that they were trying to get me to look up at the sky, so they could steal my wallet when I wasn't looking. O.o

The first thing i would think is "is this a trick question" then think "the sky is different colors". Then i would answer by saying "its baby blue" without having to look up because I would remember the sky was baby blue a second ago and if I were standing outside I may be able to see the sky straight off into the horizon.

Then I would change my answer and say "its clear. no color. it only seems to have a color because of the ozone layer. its like putting a piece of colored paper behind a piece of glass the asking what color is the glass.

Well, I say the sky is blue only 10% of the time. Aside from being everyother possible color. It's often clouded gray.

Of course we all should know that the sky has no color, nor does anything "HAVE" a color. We see colors. We see relected light. But there is no such thing as green grass. We see green light reflected off the grass and make an easy but non-scientific conclusion that the green is it's intrinsic color.

I would automatically say "Purple" just because the sky is purpley when it rains and I love rain. The sky is never blue in my dreams either unless I am dreaming of being on an island.

It might be important to someone who can't see the sky, like someone blind. It could be a test to see how articulate you are. Someone might want to know if it's cloudy. Someone might want to know how descriptive, tolerant or patient you are.

How about why is the sky bwue? Because its waining!
