That depends on if anything in the upper air is pushing it, and which way it is pusing it. This is called a stirring current. Whether it goes your way or not, you can't control it.

It may seem like all summer! It seems that a lot of storms move out of Texas and move North-East moving toward Maine, and takes about 3 days or a little more. It does seem that storms follow a large water body like a river or large lake. Good Luck getting some rain(a Lot)
