Well, I would like him to be walked every time also, I don't want him to break the record either, but we are just going to have to accept that he will break it. I am not even going to watch highlights of the home run, it's sickening.
Yes, he is a liar and a cheat. I don't want to hear this "He never tested positive for steroids" crap. So? Neither did Jason Giambi. But unlike Bonds, Giambi admitted he took steroids under oath; Bonds lied, which is why the Feds want to nail him for perjury. Mark McGwire never tested positive for steroids either, but it's generally assumed that he did take them, and he's been villified for that. I am so sick of Bonds fans hiding behind that feeble argument.
This was a good question, but your answer to the Yankee/Scott Proctor question didn't make much sense. You have some baseball knowledge, and I would have expected more, as you really didn't answer the question at all.

Just because he is black, famous, linked to controversy (although has never tested positive for anything illegal), and Barry has a rather poor attitude towards the media....people say that he isn't deserving.
Bonds has talent. Bonds works very hard at staying in shape. Very hard. He has worked harder than Hank Aaron. Pitchers pitched to Hank Aaron. They do not pitch to Bonds.

I understand what your saying, but how can the players just single out Bonds? He's not the only one who has allegedly taken steroids.
There would be a bunch of hypocritical players out there if that ever happened.

Since July 5Th, BB is hitting about .145. That is terrible! That's his history though -- he folds under pressure. Imagine how much worse he'd be doing if he had Real Pressure on him, the kind Henry Aaron was forced to handle -- death threats to himself, his wife, kids, parents, etc.
Barry has no real concept of what Henry endured. Compared to Aaron, BB has a cake walk, yet he is choking. One is a man, the other a wuss.

Unfortunately all the players are on the same team: the players association, which happens to be protecting bonds and all other steroid users, so i doubt there would be any player with enough honor to do what you're asking. Unless they want their careers to come to an abrupt end, like Turk Wendell, who spoke publicly against bonds.

Matt O is right.....I'm not surprised Georgie agrees.....real good idea putting a guy on base every time he gets up...that helps your team's chances of winning. It's pretty clear you and your boy GP know very little about baseball.

i completely agree i don't think that Barry Deserves anything he gets...he is a liar and a cheat... how is he going to say that if he took steroids he was unaware of it...give me a break...in response to someone else's comment about not wanting to tarnish his families name because of who his dad and godfather are...don't you think that that would be reason enough for him to take steroids....because he cant live up to the standards that they have set for him...I hope that Barry Bonds doesn't get another home run... or hit for that matter...the rest of his MLB career...

Here's a thought honey since you can't use the brain up in your head anyways. Bonds is the greatest player you'll ever see in your lifetime. Why would he take them? His dad is Bobby Bonds his godfather is Willie Mayes he's not going too do anything to tarnish his families legacy in baseball!
AAron even says he's a wonderful ball player and didn't even see anyone in the league that could do what Barry has done and turn around the game like Bonds could!

This is a quote directly from Aaron's book:
"Actually the 1968 season wasn't the best time to present my case. It was the first time since my rookie year that I didn't drive in or scored 100 runs. I was so frustrated that at one point I tried using a greenie that one of my teamates gave me." - Henry "Hank" Aaron
Yeah, there's a quote for you since you want to use them. Greenies are amphetamines. And you can honestly tell me that he only tried them once? Just like Barry Bonds unkowingly rubbed the "cream" and took the "clear"!
Be fair! It seems you don't know a thing if you want to back Aaron. Boycott Aaron while you are at it!
