My parents tell me this all the time. In a nice way, trying to push me to change. People at work don't say it but i can see they feel like i'm a stupid crap because they all have conversations and i never say a word. I just keep working.

I enjoy learning things. AND doing things instead of talking and talking all the time. But society here in America doesn't accept it. It affects me and i feel like a failure because everything around me is pushing me to change but i don't like being talkative outgoing. i hate that.

Should i just commit suicide? or use a magic laser to wipe me oout...society here doesn't accept me so what the heck am i doing here.

I would LOVE to spend a day with you. I usually sit in a room where so many people are talking that I couldn't get a word in even if I wanted to! I think people that are reserved and mind their own business are a blessing! Everybody doesn't feel like that in America. I would rather be around someone like you then a bigmouth any day of the week. Should you commit suicide? no don't do it. You are a value to our society you just haven't realized it.

"What the heck am I doing here?"

You're struggling.

Whether you have a mental illness such as depression or not, you might benefit from a good therapist who can work with you to find ways to be your quiet self and yet be okay around others who are talkative.

Most people use verbal language to get a sense of who you are or how you feel about them. If you're quiet and don't contribute anything to their interactions with each other, THEY might be the ones with the problems... problems like nervousness, uncertainty... and then they're forced to project that onto you in a negative way.

One thing's obvious here. You have been able to find satisfaction with who you are and what you like. That's good. Your next step is to be able to be unaffected by the negative feelings you get from people who don't understand what makes you different.

Don't commit suicide that is not the answer. There are alot of people who are shy and don't like to talk others much. There is no reason to kill yourself. You don't have to be extremely talkative just try and have conversations now and then with different people.

It depends on your version of seeing things versus they're. What do THEY view as successful, versus what do YOU view as successful. What it comes down to is it's YOUR LIFE, you can do whatever you want with it. Don't let other people try to run your life.

Oh, and about committing suicide: don't do it. You gain nothing and everyone around you gains nothing.....so its pointless. Go enjoy life, however you like.

you sound like a leader to me.

i guarantee, somebody is paying attention, when everybody else is flappin' their jaws, but you are getting the job done, somebody sees it.

i'd rather have a friend like you that these people that just talk to listen to themselves- there's way too many people like that.
