If you and her use the same computer then she most likely has a program installed that monitors what you do online. So even if you delete your history it wont do any good.

There is a way to keep people at home/work/school from learning where you have been on the internet. You have to "purge the cash" or delete the History data.
(1) From the TOOLS menu of Internet Explorer, select INTERNET OPTIONS.
(2)Click CLEAR HISTORY
(3)When asked to confirm, click OK.
Another way is to clear AUTOCOMPLETE. This feature turns on a system in Explorer that automatically completes strings of text. Ex: if you have consistently typed in John Doe in a web form, the next time you type just the "Jo", it will automatically fill in the rest of the name John Doe. A little more complicated than just clearing history, but it can be done:
(1) Open the TOOLS menu, select INTERNET OPTIONS.
(2)Click on the GENERAL tab if it isn't already showing.
(3) Click on the CONTENT tab.
(4) Click AUTOCOMPLETE
(5) Click CLEAR FORMS
It won't wipe out any of your data, but you'll have to fill out any forms again later. You can turn AutoComplete off so Internet Explorer will no longer remember what you type. You can also do it by UNCHECKING the items WEB ADDRESSES, FORMS, USER NAMES, & PASSWORDS on forms in the AUTOCOMPLETE dialog box.
Cookies also keep track of where you have been on the internet. To delete these,
(1) Go to TOOLS--INTERNET OPTIONS
(2) Click the GENERAL TAB if not showing already
(3) Click DELETE COOKIES
(4) Click OK to confirm that's what you want to do.
(5) While in the same area, click DELETE FILES (these are the TEMPORARY files that someone could use to determine where you have been on the internet.
Personally, I see nothing wrong with MySpace, but I think they have an age limit (it is age 14 or older) as to who can or who can't set up a page of their own. So, if you are under this age limit, mind your Mom. She's "been there, done that" and just wants to protect your interests from potentially dangerous sites. =]

In IE:

(In the top bar)

Tools ->Internet Options->Delete->Delete All

In Firefox:

(In the top bar)

Tools->Clear Private Data (select which options you want to clear).
