Not usually, most tackles are not big hits. When you are aware of the defender attempting to tackle you, you are going to make a move and the tackle is not going to be a very hard collision.
Besides, if it is organized football and you are wearing pads, you are going to be cushioned pretty well. There might be a few shots here and there that will sting a bit, but most of the tackles won't be very powerful.

Getting tackled is not suppose to hurt. If it does your either hurt or a whimp. Don't worry about it. Whenever your running the darkness drill or running a mile and puking you just have find something deep down and cling to it. For me it was a song that my Uncle had made just block everything out and focus. You'll want to quite the first week, DON'T!!! After the first couple of practices it will get better. It won't be a bed of roses though. The year we won the state championship 3 days before playing Riverdale we ran 4 miles in pads and Tennessee heat because we fumbled the ball twice. I promise you that you will NEVER do anything harder than that. Football is fun go out and have fun.

it depends on how ur getting hit... most times its not that bad, but blindsided hits and helmet in the ribs hits are the ones that seem to hurt the most to me because you dont realize when your about to be hit and when you do get hit it can knock the wind out of you. Also when playing football, there's so much excitment that things that would normally hurt you, you won't even feel because of the adrenaline

The tackles don't hurt so much when you're expecting them. It's the ones that catch you by surprise that really sting.

yeah i agree with the guy who said adrenaline really gets rid of the pain cause i was playin football with a bunch of friends with no pads and i was focused so hard on catchin the ball instead of a hit that was comin and someone came from behind and nailed me and it didnt really hurt at all

most don't, but if once in a while you'll get laid the **** out and your whole body becomes rattled and youll become all shaky and stuff. And usually when that happens youll also get the wind knocked out of you and can't think clearly for a few seconds, but like i said most of the time it doesnt hurt

Having your legs pinned under body in a a pile-up is quite painful try to avoid that if at all possible, 1000lbs in your chest is no fun either.

Agree with above answer. A helmet spearing in the stomach is my worst pain.

Yes, but when your adrenaline is pumping you, either dont feel it as bad/or dont care. Trust me it's not as bad as it seems... In most cases....
