Through various events , I am a thousand miles from where I expected to be at this point in my life.

Since this is the billionth question like this I have seen on here, I just have to say this:
Do you realize how spoiled and self-centered you sound when you ask questions like this? There are people in this world who are starving, impoverished, dying of painful diseases, being abused, etc. and you are worried about where you are in your "journey through life"? You seriously sit around thinking about things like that? Who cares? There are so many more important things to worry about!

Wow, I only came back to see how many thumbs ups and downs I got, but I see you have written an entire rant about my answer. Let me try to answer your dimwitted remarks in order:
1. As I originally said, I don't know why I responded to your ridiculous question, I guess I finally got sick of seeing this unoriginal, whiny type of question on here so I decided to say something about it.
2. I never told you to "get a life" and try using the correct "you're" in your insults next time, smart one.
3. I'm not sure what in my answer made you think I needed you to say a prayer for me, but knock yourself out. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when you encourage everyone you know to say one though, that would be amusing: "Hey guys, this girl on Yahoo answers said my question was stupid, let's pray for her ok?" I'm sure they will all think you're as big of an idiot as I do.
4. If you must know, my graduate program focuses on helping abused children. I certainly hope I'm doing something that makes a difference.

For more reasons than I care to relate, I'm actually looking forward. My life has taken me from living a very comfortable lifestyle to sleeping on the beach and back again. Like some sort of big seesaw. Now I know what's always been missing. Peace of mind. Haven't truly achieved it all the way but I'm working on it. I've come to terms with living life on life's terms.

I'm at the pit stop of the great race of life. I don't know if I am behind or ahead, but I am still in the race.
