Right now, the 360 is a better system simply because of the games. PS3 has one good exclusive. If you MUST have Final Fantasy 13 and Metal Gear Solid 3, then the PS3 would be your choice because they have not been announced for the 360 (yet). The graphics are the same for both systems (don't let anyone tell you otherwise... just because it has a lot of raw power doesn't mean it can actually use it for gaming). So really games and the BluRay player are the only factors if price isn't. If you really want BluRay, FF13, & MGS3, then get PS3. If not get the 360.

It only makes sense to buy a PS3 if you have a PS2 and a PSP. You can play any of your old games on the PS3 and the PSP can work wirelessly with the PS3. I have a PS3, and I recommend that you get the 60GB version before they are all gone, or buy the 80GB version in August or whenever you get the chance. Xbox 360's are very faulty and people are having to send them in because of hardware problems. The PS3 doesn't have hardware problems at all.

If you have been with sony (which it appears you have) it is probably for the best to get the ps3. It doesn't have the rumble in the controller nor the greatest selection of games AT THE MOMENT. However, the controller will hopefully be out in time for the Christmas shopping season and the good games are starting to come out now (and there will be a good amount by Christmas). If you want to try something new try the 360 but unless you want to play titles such as Halo or want a nice fancy gamercard it probably is not worth getting the 360 (in your case).

PS3 has no good games out and they wont really have any maybe until mid next year. The price for it will probably drop by then too.
Xbox 360 is in its 2 or 3 year of being available to consumers. It has more games then the PS3 and has a great line up of games coming out in the near future
These include Bioshock, Blue Dragon, Grand Theft Auto 4, Fable 2 and Halo 3

PS3. As far as games go, the only ones that matter are the ones native to each system (as in the ones that aren't multiplatform). Unless you're particularly into Halo, Xbox isn't for you.
Xbox 360
Red ring of death
Old school controller
Halo.....and not much else
Expensive online play
Graphic capabilities are limited
PS3
Bluray player (therefore capable of storing more game info)
Sixaxis motion sensing wireless controller included
Great games coming - i.e. Resident Evil 5, FFXIII, Kingdom Hearts III
FREE Online play
Home
Just making use of its graphic capabilities (remember, when the first PS2 games game out, they looked just like PS1...)
Its just an overall better system.....

Seems like you're a Sony person. I have all the systems and I think Xbox 360 is the best. Online is much better than ps3. I guess you get what you pay for.
