Man ur not even close, where did u come up with this at? Oliver North is a true hero and if anything was protecting his commander in chief whom he admired and had the utmost respect for. He believed in everything The president was doing. Both are my hero's also. Ronald Reagan was responsible for freeing more human beings than any previous human being in the history of the world, plus brought down the Soviet Union and the iron curtain.

Half the people on this board have no idea who Oliver North was to Reagan. Give it up and move on to something more recent.

No, I don't think so. I've never been sure that Regan knew alot of the details. He seemed confused at times when asked about it.
Oliver North headed a nasty operation and came out smelling like a hero-only in Washington. And it's just one more thing that is coming back to bite us, 20 years later.

Reagan is dead. Leave the poor man alone. Why can't you pick on Bush like everyone else? Ollie North was a willing and spirited fall guy. He did his time.

Frame? No. Use as one of the fall guys? Absolutely! There is no doubt that Ollie committed the acts for which he was charged. He followed the orders from his superiors, but following those orders doesn't make him a good Marine. One of the basic tenets regarding orders is that you do not have follow them if they are illegal. In short, Ollie framed himself.

considering that North has the greatest respect for Reagan, one would have to conclude he did what he did of his own free will. he has never blamed Reagan for anything.

Ollie was his door mat. They both knew it too. USMC light bird Cols don't do nearly as well as Mr. North unless the way is paved. It's called "fallguy".

Nope. Ollie "Took one for the Team"... Or as Ollie put it "Well, obviously my actions were covert. Thats why every president has a covert operations team. I just happen to head this one."
Or something similar to that......

No.

North is a criminal, as determined by the judicial system.
