I have an over sized stuffed ape thing....I talk to it everyday usually. I usually feel better. Most likely cause it actually listens to me.
<---insane.

There is a type of therapy where you talked to an empty chair as though the person you really wanted to talk to was there, so talking to a bear or doll would be about the same. If it makes her feel better, I say she should continue to do it. Who cares what someone else feels? It's her thoughts that are important.

I have had this stuffed bunny since i was a one year old and I named him/her (idk) Bunbun. So since i was like 5 i had always told Bunbun when i was sad, mad, confused or worried. For some reason, Bunbun helped me through it. Here is what I did. I picked Bunbun up off of my bed, I hugged him/her as tight as I could. Than I blurted out all of my feelings. I gave Bunbun another squeeze. Whenever Itold Bunbun something I always thought what he/she would say back. Iused "her" advice for me! It really does work!
p.s. If you are having serious problems that you would think needed a humans attention. Talk to a parent, gaurdian, friend, anyone in the family, teacher or someone you know that you can go to for advice.
p.p.s. I tell my mom almost everything! Even her students in class talk to her after class about social, school and even at home problems! Just ask! Someone WILL listen.

I don't think it's necessarily the stuff bear. Just talking and getting things off your chest helps. That's why they say that women have the tendency to live longer than men because they are more verbal and are good at expressing all emotions. Men on the other hand tend to just bottle things up and be quiet about it. Eventually it's gets to a point where you just explode.

it a lot like writing your feeling down on paper and the throwing it a way .. her build a bear is the same method to her.. it gets the feelings out there so that you can go on with the day and feel as if you can function again ...kudos to your friend for finding her way with it
