lowering the temp of the testicles or raising it can greatly effect the PRODUCTION of sperm.

testicles automatically adjust themselves and their distance from the crotch to maintain an ideal temperature.

Sperm production requires a temperature which is three to five degrees (F) below body temperature
1°C cooler than normal body temperature

you can freeze sperm with a chemical suspension and they will survive.
I know its about cow sperm, but shows that they can be frozen

If you heat drastically them they will die.

they do react to temps in the female body to help guide them to the egg

Yes, extreme heat and cold can kill sperm. Sperm are best kept alive at a temp slightly lower than 98.6 F.

I know they freeze sperm until they need it so it must be heat that kills it.

Both. if they arent kept at the same temperature range as the human being (a few degrees less in fact, thats why the testicles are outside the main body) they could die. they are very weak.
