Yes, but it would sound so self serving if I approach it from that angle. So let me say this: You always hear in working environments that "no one is irreplaceable" meaning, that no matter how many great skills you have, there is always another person with a skill set which is just as impressive as yours, or possibly even more impressive. However in the realm of the personal, there is no one just like you. You have certain characteristics that only you possess. Your parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, acquaintances, and co workers would be missing UNTOLD influences that you have made in their lives.
Yes, each of us have a unique position in the world. Our beliefs, our words, our actions, our lives DO make an impact on all around us, and indeed the world. God doesn't make mistakes. He was there when you and I were knit together in our mother's wombs. You and I were born with a purpose. We can choose to be a blessing or a curse to those in our area of influence. It is our choice.

I think at this point the world would still be the same. But I certainly hope at some point in my life I will do something to help the world. I do believe that some peoples lives would be completely different, but they would never really know the difference anyways. I do hope that one day I will influence someone in a positive way.

Definitely. Everyone touches the life of someone else
everyday. They probably don't even realize how many lives they have affected in their lifetime.
I sat down one day and tried to imagine if I had never been born.I was shocked at the things that would not have been.
A few examples: my children wouldn't exist..My brother would have drowned when he was 5.His children wouldn't exist, the list was virtually endless. I encourage anyone who thinks they wouldn't make any difference to try making a list for themselves. It really opened my eyes.

yes it would have been different - can't explain here but i know i have changed people's lives for the better but I've really only been doing it within the last 15 years so there 's no reason why everyone can't do things for others even if it's just making them laugh or listening to their troubles.
if i hadn't been born my children wouldn't be here---- everyone makes a difference in some way
if you mean you- don't give up on yourself - your time will come - if you haven't made a difference yet - trust me - one day you will

Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect. Basically it means that ever little thing no matter how minute, even the flapping of a butterflies wings, has an effect on it's surroundings. Also known as the ripple effect. Throw a pebble in a pond and watch the ripples of water eminate outward. Same thing in life. We each bring our own thing to the table.

We have all contributed to the world by answering this question......''we think, therefore we are''. Now did we impact the world? Probably not very much, but we have the potential to make large or small scale changes in this world during our short stay here.

GOD has sent each one of us with a mission. On the larger perspective, one may not see any difference. But going deep and the tiny effect one human being make in this family & his society translate to the whole world. in other way YOU ARE IMPORTANT as any one in the world.

Everyone is connected. There are people and little experiences that make impacts on people's lives. Some geniuses could be influenced by your actions. The people in Albert Einstein's days could have inspired him. So don't ever think you are worth nothing to offer in this world.

I know for a fact it would have been different. Nobody else would have ever thought to have built a tree house in a tree that wouldn't hold it, then have it fall on them. Without me, the hospital wouldn't have picked up all that extra cash.

The world? No. A few people's lives? Yes. Would their lives be better or worse? Who knows.
