The top teams are comparable to the top teams in other conferences. The worst are, too. But the middle of the pack in the SEC has a bunch of teams that would be vying for the championship of a lot of conferences. That makes the regular season in the SEC different from any other conference in college ball. Other conferences have team schedules with two or three tough, "must" games. In the SEC, that's six or seven games.

The SEC has stronger teams. Big 10 has Michigan, OSU, Penn State, and Wisconsin. SEC has LSU, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas, and Alabama. To Michigan fan above me dude your team got blown out in their bowl game so shut up. Florida kicked the best Big 10 team in the national championship last year.

it can claim this simply because it consistently has more teams in the top ten and puts more nfl caliber players into the draft just look at that this past drafts 1st round and where the players came from not to mention the SEC has just recently gained its dominence it is not something dating back to the 50's in fact you would be pushing it to say it began in the early 1990's. so in recent history yes the SEC is better but throughout time the Big 10 was better

the sec has better teams in general. they mean from top to bottom, they are the best conference in college football. the big 10 has osu and michigan. the pac-10 has usc. the acc has v.tech, miami, fsu, but they are nowhere as good as teams in the sec. the big east has louisville, west virginia, and maybe rutgers. but the sec has auburn, tennessee, florida, arkansas, georgia, and as much as i hate saban, maybe alabama. these teams can match up with any program in the country and be competive.

They don't have to play SEC teams week-end and week-out, if they had to do that they would get beat up pretty bad, heck they might not even have a winning record against SEC teams if they had to do that.

The SEC has more good teams than the Big 10. Their worst team is Vanderbilt. Ours is Northwestern.

Probably the same reason the Big 10 beat up on the SEC in the Cap One Bowl, lets find a better argument.

I think they mean top to bottom. Parity. The Big Ten has their powerhouses but probably more weaker teams at the bottom.
