I planted eleven different kinds this year! We have a tall multiheaded one that is two foot over the gutter on our one story house. We also have lovely small ones that are called sunset, one "lemon" that looks almost like a daliha, a strange dwarf with mico petals, traditional "giant" and even a lovely "citrus" one that has beautiful orange petals. :)

I like the ones that get the giant flower but all sunflowers are beautiful its fun to watch the birds feed and the squirrels chewing the heads off and trying to drag them away greedy little boogers

I am growing about 6 of the dward ones, but about 40 of them are appearing in my other flowerbeds and even on my lawn, I don't even know how there getting there. I was just looking at some sunflowers today, and i'm getting some yellow, red, and orange ones that are 6-10 feet all, if you want to find them or anything go to www.parkseed.com . Its a great site, lots of sunflowers, and dahlias if you like them.

My favorites are the red ones. I planted some and they really are a deep red. But I love all sunflowers

I like the classic, single-headed tall ones the best. They make great windbreakers in a garden, and make a great background when planted at the back edge of it.

Plus, I love the looks of awe when visitors crane their necks back at my eight-foot flowers and exclaim "you did THAT?!?"
