is there an hd dvd and blueray burner rom combo drive for computer yet?

No HD-DVD/BR combo drives have been released yet however this will soon change because the company Pioneer recently unveiled plans to release a combo drive withen the next year (Model number BDR-103). Nothing is known about the drive except that it is a combo drive that will be fully compatible with HD-DVD and BR and its model number. Sadly inside sources price the unit at around $1050 (before tax). This is the only known combo drive to date however you can wager that other media giants are deveolping the technolgy but only in secrecy but don't hold your breath because the demand for such drives is probably extreamly low therefor have very low priority. No, so far the formats are mutually exclusive. I wouldn't expect to see a burner that does both BluRay and HD-DVD anytime soon. Cheaper to get a PS3 (which has a Blu-Ray player built in) and a standalone HD-DVD player
