i like this guy and he's a really great dancer (does latin dance - salsa merenge etc). Problem is i don't dance - i can solo dance and a bit of a box step & i love it but i've never learnt properly and i'm a terribly slow learner when it comes to doing anything that requires coordination (i'm a bit of a clutz). is my lack of coordination a huge turn off to someone who loves to dance or will he be impressed with my willingness to learn (once i get over the initial shyness and hesitation)?

Well, you could always ask him to teach you....Most of the latin-american dances usually have a more romantic side to them, so I guess it'd work out well on both of your ends. Besides, that'd be great "bonding time." If they guy is worth being with, he won't care that you can't dance. If he does, don't date him.

Just say that you are a typical white person with no rhythm. All can always learn, if he likes you he likes you, if not find another guy to dance off into the sunset.

why don't you talk to him. if he really likes you back than i don't think dancing should be a problem. think back, how did you get to know each other? or maybe you could teach him some of your dance, than you can work it out that way!

I suggest you start learning. He might be willing to overlook it at first, but if you ever have any hopes of it working out, you might want to learn.

If he is interested in you he will love that you're willing to learn. He will know that not everyone has had as much instruction as him
