I remember that she said that the United States is Cancer since July 4th is our birthdate. She said we are emotional people. France and Italy are Leos. Germany is Aries. Does anyone know the sign of any other country?

To my critics: People of certain countries have temperments. You may never know the birthdate of a country, but we can guess what the country's sign is from their temperment. I love the English, but their being stuffy and uptight leads me to think that their country is ruled by Capricorn. The egos and love of the beautiful makes me think that France and Italy are Leos. Israelis are kind, stubborn and the way they have transformed their desert into a beuatiful land makes me think they are Taurus. Perfectionism and unfortunately the desire to scapegoat others when they don't feel successful suggests that Germany is Aries.

Yes, countries have natal charts like people. It's referred to as "Mundane Astrology" from the Latin word "mundus" meaning "world".
The problem is deciding when a country's birthday actually is. It's normally based on the date of some significant event in its history, such as the day it declared its independence as a nation, as in the case of the United States.
Australia's birthday is considered to be the date of its federation when it became one nation on January 1st 1901. Consequently, Australia is Capricorn. However, it has several planets in Sagittarius, explaining its obsession with sport and horse racing.
This site contains the birth charts of several countries-

According to this site, the following countries fall under these signs-
Greece, Germany - Capricorn
Canada - Cancer
China - Libra
Egypt - Gemini
India - Leo
Israel - Taurus
Japan - Aquarius
Russia, Spain, Turkey - Scorpio

Um... A whole country controlled by astrology. Based on what? Politics? Is it not more important what the rulers are like? Don't you see the flaws?
U.S.A. - Do you use July 4th may be wrong because there was no government until the constitution took effect. What about the civil war? Texas was an independent country before it joined the US. .
France - Which date? Pre-revolution? Post? Napoleon era or after Waterloo?
Germany - Which date? Pre-Hitler? After Hitler? At the unification?
How about Iraq? Do they have a "birth date" that is recent or does the Sadam reign count?
These are only a few examples. Back to pigeon-holing.
Edit: So since Hitler was an Aries we can assume Germany is still an Aries?

I don't really know AstroLady, but this question had me get out my natal chart and start looking. I noticed that Pisces is on the cusp of the 9th house and Neptune (ruler of Pisces) is semisquare my sun in Sagittarius and sextile Jupiter (ruler of Sag). Aquarius is on the cusp of the 8th house and Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) making aspects to just about everything. I am very interested in Astrology, the social sciences, religion & different cultures. The "hard" sciences interest me too but find it too serious and intense. Mysticism & other occult subjects I just find curious. With the northern node in the 5th house in Sagittarius, I couldn't make that connection. Anyway, I hope this helped a little.

Depends on your beliefs. Some countries don't really have years documented in history that they started. And I disagree, the US is a bit shallow. Why else for the media craze, plastic surgery, and increasing lack of morals over the issue of cancer and world hunger?

There are at least ten different proposed charts for the USA. Many other countries have natal charts like the ones on this site.

Not really sure, but it shouldn't be hard to look up the info, just check out when a country was established, their DOB, and you'll find their sign.

MMM...as it has something to do with moons and the planets, it has nothing to do with the countries.
