Hell NO!!! At their ages that's what kids do when there isn't enough adult supervision, and sometimes even when there is. These are teenagers with all the raging hormones that they are notorious for, and they're going to put those hormones to use. Why wasn't she charged too? She performed a sex act on a minor, isn't that illegal? They should have had their asses beat and been grounded from socializing for a few months while their parents hoped and prayed that it did some good.

No, I don't think so. They're both kids. They probably shouldn't be doing stuff like that, but we were all kids once. I would hate to know that my boyfriend when I was 16 (who is my husband now, by the way) would have went to prison for 10 years cause we experimented a little bit before we were both of legal age.

It seems to me more of a race issue up here in ohio a 16 yr old can consent to sex with an 89 yr old and noone would care less seems georgia officials can t get over the fact that a black boy got his wang sucked off by a white girl and had it on videotape smells fishy too me which is prolly why the boy only let her suck him off lol

I heard about this story and it is ridiculous!! They have stolen that mans life and the judge that put him away should have to spend just as much time in prison for doing it. If that happened to ALL teenage boys who were "with" a girl there wouldn't be too many of them left walking the streets. Your teenage years are for experimenting, why punish some one for doing that.

Nope i sure dont, i dont know what story ur refering to, but if its what ur saying it is, 2 consenting kids of one year apart in age.. then absolutely not.. kids in their teen years expirement sexually with their bf/gfs sounds more to me a couple of parents that dont want to realize that little miss perfect isnt so perfect and because of their lack in parental skills some poor kid has to pay the price.. as long as she was not forced, or drunk, drugged, etc and she consented then this is crazy to even be heard by a judge, if he was a great deal older id say yes, or if she was a few years younger id say yes.. but not at 16 and 17.. thats crazy..

No. Many girls of this age today know exactly what they are doing. If she was his girlfriend she probably wanted to do it. That young man will be ruined forever and his life destroyed. Over a stupid 16 year old girl that had no respect for herself. To be a parent of a young teenage son today would be very scary.

Teenagers have been having sex since the beginning of mankind. Why is it that suddenly, in the last 30 years or so, society wants to make it illegal??
Lawmakers that want to apply statuatory rape laws to teen should be castrated.
