I was charged with a 3rd degree felony theft in Florida which is my one and only offense. I have completed probation and recieved witheld adjudication.

I would like to know the general cost to hire an attorney to handle the case to expunge my record. Also I would like to know how long it usually takes to complete the process.

Can anyone help?

Here's a web site I found. Looks like about $ 700.00.

I don't know that you can have it expunged from your record if your an adult. That is usually some thing that is done only for miners, so that they can have a clean record to give them a second chance to start out their adult hood with a clean slate.

Best of luck to you with this, I'm not sure that it can be done or not.

BTW: Wow looks like Tedex has found that you can do it, pretty cool for you. Good job! Tedex

You cannot get a felony expunged. Period.

You need to get an attorney to apply for a government pardon by the Florida State Governor.

However, for a 3rd degree felony, you need extenuating circumstances for it to be granted. "Ruining your life and not allowing you to get a decent job"...unfortunately, doesn't count.
