My best friend has been around for 26 years. My husband is beyond best friend he is my soul mate.

Angel13 -- My best friend is also a guy. My husband is the first man in my life not insecure about our friendship. That is one of the reasons I knew my husband was the man for me.

Her parents had the property next to ours when we were 3 and we are 29 now! So 26 years and NEVER EVER had a fight!!! We live 5 hours apart now and only actually see her 4-5 times a year but she is still my "Best Friend!" We talk on the phone about once a month...

Wow ... I never did the math on this before! LOL Kinda scary ... 30 YEARS! Believe it or not we've been friends for 30 years! (And I'm not that old! lol ) Since we were knee high to a grasshopper actually!
Then, my next two best friends have been around for 25 years and my fourth has been here for 18 years.
And these are the truest and best kind of friends you could ask for. How lucky am I? Truly blessed that's for sure! I thank God for them everyday!
And congrats on the whole soul mate thing. Makes quite a difference doesn't it? Still lookin' for mine .... haven't lost faith yet!

My best friend and I met in high school music class in 1981... I was best man at his wedding in 1997. I made a speech, most of it was joking around and telling amusing anecdotes, but there was one serious part, in which I said that his commitment to his friends, his family, his community and his country was inspiring to me... and I meant it. He's a really tough guy on the exterior, but he would do anything to look after his friends and loved ones, and has a heart of gold.... my other best friend is my girlfriend, whom I've known since 2001... another person of high character whom I admire, and of course adore... and we are soul mates....
OK!... enough of this sentimental hogwash! Now let's all have a drink! Here's to friends!

10 years going on 11 this year--I met her my first year in college in the student union (rec room). She actually was kinda leery of me 'cuz the guy she liked was paying attention to me, but that's how we got introduced. He never ended up liking her, but we all ended up really good friends...
