It should be easy enough to get away with, just be careful about how many towels you leave in the room - if they think 2 people are staying in there and they find like 20 towels after 3 days - they'll be suspicious. Otherwise, just tip the maid that cleans the room like 5 dollars a day and they wont say a word - plus no one in Vegas really pays attention to that kind of thing. If you need to get extra keys - just go up a few hours later and say you misplaced it and need an extra one. This should give you guys at least 3 keys, good enough for 6 people. Also, try not to always come out of your room at once, though I really doubt anyone will care. Have fun, good luck, and focus on getting wasted and partying - dont worry about the hotel, I'm sure you'll be fine.
Hope this helps.

No way is this easy to get away with in Vegas. First of all, there's security cameras ALL over the place, with the exception of bathrooms and in the guest rooms. Therefore, if there's ANY inkling of inpropriety (meaning, if you leave the room a disaster and the maids get PO'ed, they might blow the whistle on you, or if you're loud and annoy the people next door...) they can pull the tape and look at it.
The other reality is - most evening, especially on weekends and absolutely if there's a special event going on, EVERYONE trying to get into the elevator MUST have a room key in hand to get past security. (It's happened to me at 5 different Strip properties, and one off-strip.) Not to mention - if anyone uses the pool, you need a room key in hand and they check.
My advice: you might want to suck it up and pay the fee.

I see how you may have gotten away with it in other places, but you won't get away with it in Vegas.
I only visited Vegas once, but I do know that most hotels make you show a room key before catching the elevator, after a certain time. They only want guests in the areas where the guest rooms are. EVERYONE must have a room key.

You didn't mention which hotel you're staying at.
One problem you may run into is when you need more than two room keys. Especially if you all might be coming and going at differernt times or want to come and go from the pool (which usually requires room key entry).
If you have a nosy maid, she may inquire with the front desk, and at that point, your secret is out!
I don't blame you for trying to pay for only one room and get around the additional person charge, good luck!!

The simple answer is Yes. The hotel generally always allow 2, and ussualy wont care about a 3rd. The only time people have issues is when they try to stuff like 6-7 people in a room, and then cause alot of noise. The hotel wont care about 1 or two extra people in your room one bit. And even if they did, there is really no way for them to know about it. FYI, they will give TWO rooms key per room always. Even if it is just one person.

a couple times a year my friends from socal come to vegas and have about 10+ people to a room. they've stayed at nice hotels like the venetian and cheaper hotels like the excalibur with no problems. it's a known thing around here to throw hotel parties so it's not a big deal for security to see 20+ people going to the same room. i just went to one last saturday at the rio.

If you do get kicked out, which is much more unlikely than you might think, you can always stay at a super 8 or something a little ways off the strip. You will be gone all day so all it is is a 15 min bus ride out there.

Don't think anyone will take notice. We just returned from Vegas and there were like four towels in the room. Take a couple of extra towels and have fun.

DON'T DO IT. You will get caught & when you do, you will be KICKED OUT of the hotel. No refund & a police report made from the hotel.
IT'S NOT WORTH IT. don't be cheap, pay for your own room!
