My neighbor has about 15-20 stray cats outside her house that she feeds, and they like roaming into my yard. They hang out on my car and use my garden as a litterbox. Now my yard smells like cat! Any suggestions as to how to keep them out of my yard (I don't want to put out mothballs because I have dogs and I am afraid the dogs may try to eat them and get sick)?

I have already tried:
A "liquid fence" product that worked for two days until it rained and it also smelled awful!

By the way, my dogs don't stay out all day long, so they can only keep cats out of my yard while they are out.

Oh, and if you are asking about my "sissy dogs", I have two Cane Corso Mastiffs.

The only thing I could think of was mothballs...Sorry.

I husband's remedy is a pellet gun. Not to hurt them, of course. They can hear the pellets whizzing by their heads and it scares them half to death and they usually stay away.

Cats hate water so hose them down also I'd call the city on your friendly neighbor. As nice as she is by feeding those cats that maybe against a city or even your neighborhood HOA. It's unfortunate you have dogs because I'd suggest deacon (rat poison) to take care of those fur balls. Cats are creatures of habit so you need to make them feel un-welcome on your property. Do you have a 44 magnum? If not try fire crackers whiptdo's or whiptdon'ts throw them at the cats to keep them away.

What a wonderful and compassionate neighbor you have to feed so many strays! She is to be praised. Remember, the cats are far more important than your yard. My advice to you would be to help your neighbor by also feeding the strays. That is the right thing to do. Cats are wonderful. ENJOY them!!!!!!!!!!!
