For example, the scene made me laugh when the Griswolds got off the plane and Clark was getting excited about being there in Vegas. What's the big deal about it? You can only truly enjoy yourself and get special treatment if you're a lucky high roller or you win a jackpot, and very few people do that Las Vegas. I think it's an incredible joke that people think they're gonna have the time of their life there.

Las Vegas is the worst popular vacation getaway because the goal is to win money and the chances of that happening are slim and people lose lots of money there on a vacation. It's usually a miserable vacation all in all unless the person is single and they get action with a hot girl, then, that might make the vacation "truly worth while".

Las Vegas is the most overrated vacation getaway resort to visit. Orlando, FL. or Anaheim, CA. are MUCH MORE FUN than Las Vegas.

I went to vegas once. I had a blast.

Did I win money? No. I lost $200, but I still had a great time. I never went with the thought of coming home with any money.

Everyone has their own idea of what a good time is. Obviously Vegas isnt your bag baby.

What makes you think you are the expert on traveling? What makes Anaslime oops I mean Anaheim or Orlando a better place to visit on vacation? I have lived in OC and did visit Orlando, the only things there that we do not have here in Las Vegas would be the Disney attractions and the ocean. There is so much more to Las Vegas than gambling and partying! There are plenty of shows to see, shopping, tours, plenty of history that is here. Hoover Dam, tour to the Grand Canyon, Red Rock. Many things to see and do here that do not cost money as well! Vacations are a personal preference, so if your personal preference is NOT to come here to Las Vegas, I'm sure that California and Florida would be just as happy to take your money so you can go on some rides!

Oh, please! The only thing that comes in mind for those places is Universal Studios and Disneyland (kid-friendly), where you spend money. At Las Vegas (adult-friendly), you spend money for a CHANCE at winning money.
Let me guess. Either you lost a lot of money in Vegas, or aren't old enough to truly have fun (21+), so that's why you're saying Vegas isn't that great.

When I turned 21, my parents took me to Vegas. I lost around $300 in 3 days, but I still had fun. I'm going back to Vegas during Labor Day Weekend. I can't wait!

Dude, I LIVE in Vegas, work 2 minutes from the Strip, and I LOVE this town. Even with all the glitz and glamour this city is so much fun from gambling, shows, concerts, tours, and so much more. Whether you win or lose, Vegas is an awesome place to let loose and enjoy yourself.

It's great YOU don't like it, but that doesn't make you a travel expert or that Vegas sucks. Just from living here I can tell you it's awesome. What sucks is how bitter and angry you are.

You don't have a a clue.Everybody knows they are going to loose money. What attracts them is how their lives are suddenly free.
At home while working you have to get up at the same time every day. You have to be at work at the same time every day. You have only so much time to eat, you only have so much time to cook dinner, etc.
In Las Vegas you get up when you feel like it. You eat when you feel like it. If you want to go bowling (I am using the Orleans as an example) you can bowl. If you feel like going to a movie now you can do it. And yes, if you feel like gaming you can do that also.
While in Las Vegas, people come up to you and get you drinks. You don't have to go get them and prepare them your self. If you want to lounge at the pool, they will get a lounge chair for you and even get you a drink. Some even get you towel that they will clean. They will clean your room and they will even park your car for you. And all they want in exchange in money. Not to mention the shows are incredible. They cost a lot but you are willing to tough it out once in a while.
Notice all these positives I mentioned did not involve hooking up with a girl. This is why Las Vegas is a Disney Land for adults. It is such a relief and an antidote to the grind of every day life for adults.

You must really hate Las Vegas to say such negative things about it. Your story does not happen to all people visiting & not everyone feels the same way you do. I think you just hate Las Vegas over all. It's better to just keep it to yourself.

they expect, and receive special treatment because they are spending alot of money gambling there. its a marketing tool, and whoever kisses the most a,s,s will get more of your business. its just plain smart and its common sense. and im always treated as a V.I.P. and i deserve it. P.S. you have to know how to do vegas or you are lost in the shuffle.

i think YOU sir, just don't know how to have a good time in a city meant for grown ups. it sounds like you're more into the kiddy thing (anaheim and orlando??!?!). vegas is obviously not the place for you... we do not have mickey mouse or donald duck here to greet and take a picture with you.
