i am referring to the "portable on demand" storage systems where they drop them off at your house and you fill them up and they pick them up later. do you have to return them and how long can you keep them? how much do they cost?

Deduct the cost of repairs from the security deposit. Allowing them to put it there did not imply that they would not be responsible for damage caused.
