You may have incompatible software, spyware, malware or a virus as well as a hardware problem. First open the case, turn the system on and see if all the fans are spinning. If not then you found your problem - overheating. Since it is open and with the system off, blow out all the dust. After checking that thnk back to when it started happening - did you load some software or did it happen right after visiting an internet site? What you have to do is some trial and error to narrow it down.

On my old computer, The computers graphics were terrible so i got a new graphics card which helped but was freezing.

The thing im telling you is some parts in computers dont go together like my powerful graphics card and a computer speed of 1050

You might have something too powerful for your computer to handle.

is it really old, and does it have really outdated parts (such as pentium 3 cpu, like 128mb of ram, etc)? it could be because your running to many programs and the computer cant handle it. Or it could be the hard drive is going bad.
